Any fumes are very likely toxic. - opcso 0 A lot of people report success at 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C for 8 minutes. 250 C is way too Turning it off/back on works, but I'm wondering if there are sleep settings on the print server that I can modify.

I searched for firmware upgrades, but there aren't any for this model. Drag and drop the .RFU file onto the PORT1 icon or onto any open space in the browser window. So, if you need to replace a formatter for one of the above models, be sure to order a Q7847-61004 formatter.XXX by unknown on Nov 26, 2008 at 1:29pm Add comment Do not turn On the device or interfere with the update until you see this message.

Select Update Printer Firmware from the choose action list. Meanwhile, if anyone knows how to clear this problem from a 3525 let me know. by cscotech on Apr 7, 2008 at 10:12am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Well from your earlier post your serial # does fall within the list covered by Unbeleivable!

If you have a P3005 that is shot, and it has a USB/Network I/O panel, {it unscrews} let me know, I will buy it. Do they pull straight off. After firware upgrade and clearing NVRAM still a piece of junk. There may be some other letters in front.

by moe on Apr 9, 2008 at 4:18pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 If my printer were switched off for a long time, it works for 5 minutes. by Stephen on Feb 6, 2009 at 6:44pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I agree, the 8150 is a good printer. This can take several minutes. It might not work for everyone, but if you can't get it replaced under warranty, there's nothing to be lost by trying this method.

The board was set with the memory module removed, chip side up on these four balls in a baking pan.I put the pan in the oven for EXACTLY 8 minutes. I have had to replace 2 or 3 formatter boards under warranty so the serial numbers are way beyond that range and the chip in question is not Toshiba. Problems like printer freezingup, no display problems , messages saying RFU LOAD ERRORSEND RFU NOW on power up .ectCan anybody shed any light on these problems.I have tried removing the battery by opcso on Nov 16, 2009 at 10:06am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 yardsnotso tell me how to fix it:---...

No update has occurred. Then I heated these areas with the heat gun (350 - 400 degrees celsius) for for about 20 - 30 seconds. Now the printer works fine. it flashed said I think that the firmware flash completed on the printer display, then the printer started to eject blank pages, Now I get the download firmware ...etc message. So I saw this printer lying on its side at a friend's house so I asked him what was wrong.. "Oh, I think it needs a firmware update, but no one

Open the Device Management folder in the drop-down list in the Navigation panel. The download process begins and the firmware is updated on the device. Guess what... by opcso on Nov 18, 2008 at 11:19am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I just recently bought a replacement (Brand New) P3005DN off EBAY for $450 & saw

I would have to say that this could be a problem if you are doing it in your house with children and pets etc. What about the small back-up battery, looks like that cooked a little too, started to leak. - kcan 0 I've baked P3005 boards at 350 degrees with no problems. I downloaded the upgrade and ran it from a computer connected directly to the printer via USB cable. Type ftp .

Even better still i can use a heat gun.I do not think it will work because the chip is a samsungchip on later boards. Also tried a heat gun at 800F. Click Update Firmware. Hope this also works for some of you.Matt by unknown on Sep 2, 2009 at 3:09am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks for testing out my theory.

my office has several of these printers, if any more fail, im going to replace the boards and sell them on ebay, can anyone suggest a good replacement printer? None of them have been covered under warrantee per HP. Your cache administrator is webmaster. So after reading through this today, I pre-heated my oven to 350, put the formatter board (memory removed) in there for exactly 8 minutes.
