roadrunner email authentication error Mount Pulaski, Illinois

But complaining about authertication required in the [email protected] am in a PC environment.Hi TWC Steph S,I tried the change [email protected] to [email protected], to [email protected], all have problem.I have been using the Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again. I tried many ways and followed new suggestion from TWC. Set connection security back to none.

The default settings were correct.Entered the name of "outgoing mail server". (smtp-server.cfl.rr.com)Turned on "Use Authentication".The username and password was auto-filled based on the entries in the "incoming mail server" section. The problem is outgoing mail through their SMTP outgoing mail service. I went through live tech support and it went like this. Hope I gave you some more information to figure it out...Thanks,Maddy Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post Page 1 Next This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions

The answer was maddeningly simple/stupid. The mail server responded: Authentication is required before sending [R0107005]. Since you can send messages with the Gmail SMTP server, this indicates there is nothing wrong with the Mail application so either you have not entered RR's SMTP server correctly or Reply

I guess you could try port 25. they ASK for your "user name" and "Password" (on the More Settings Tab). I keep seeing that they want to see your complete email address for the username. Are you having trouble with sending all e-mail's or just this specific e-mail address?

These are the exact steps I followed, and it's still working for me. Maybe this will help someone else trying to get their RR email on their Touchpad. It also says it can use port 587 or 25. Set encryption to "None". The other is [email protected] Or you might receive an error, such as, "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.'' In many email clients, there is a Test Account Settings button you can click that checks where are you trying to send mail, to internal people or to Internet?   I think you are using POP/IMAP configuration and then is SMTP used for sending mail.
