At the request of Bali United, Miftahul Hamdi leave national team
Coach Luis Milla repatriated Miftahul Hamdi from the 2018 U-23 Asian Cup Qualifier in Bangkok, Thailand, on Thursday (7/20/2017). It is confirmed Indonesia U-22 Manager, Endri Erawan.
“Bali United sent a letter to PSSI, so PSSI went to us, so we decided to repatriate him after consulting with Milla,” said Endri in Bangkok.
Bali’s letter to PSSI in question is a request for Hamdi to be repatriated to Indonesia. Hamdi crossed out Milla when determining the 23 players who appeared on U-23 Asian Cup Qualification 2018.
Management team nicknamed Tridatu Serdadu it regretted if Hamdi silence in Bangkok without even playing.
In fact, Bali United are in need of strength to continue the game in League 1.
Bali United has actually expressed a desire to repatriate the winger when Hamdi registered in the team.
“We have received news that Hamdi is not registered in the U-22 squad because the maximum number of players on the list is 23,” said Michael Gerald, Secretary of Bali United.
He also hopes PSSI give permission to Hamdi to re-join the team of Bali United.
“The reason, we need all the best players including Hamdi in order to achieve maximum results in every match of Bali United.
Now, Bali United’s wish comes true. It is not possible Hamdi can be directly relied upon to face Sriwijaya on Sunday (07/23/2017).
